Extended Stay America Select Suites- Chicago - Lombard - Oak Brook

I am highly pleased with the management staff at this property. They provide exceptional customer service and they are always willing to work with their customers on any issue. The property is keep neat and they try to respond to concerns in a prompt and professional manner. I particularly note general manager Nellie, Sussie, Justin, Ms. Denise, and Maribel as being excellent in their customer service focus and attention to detail. I will and have already let my business associates know this is an excellent staff and location to have someone stay on an extended stay basis. Respectfully, Michael Halbert

I was attending a 4 day conference in the western suburbs and the host hotel wanted over $200 a night so I checked this Extended Star America which was literally about 1/4 mile from the host hotel and booked a suite for about only $78. The room was clean and comfortable and the location was absolutely perfect, right next to my conference and extremely close to 2 malls and literally over 100 restaurants. I saved a ton of money, got good sleep and was thoroughly satisfied! A special Thank You and recognition for the staff member Rosalind who was so friendly and helpful for any request I had about anything I needed for the room and she made sure I came back each night to an absolutely clean and fresh smelling room each night. Definitely recommend this place for the price, staff and location.

Maribelle B ( I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) at the front desk was exceedingly patient and friendly despite it being toward the end of her shift and juggling tech issues and demanding calls. I immensely appreciate her help with everything. She was helpful, professional, and understanding and to be frank, deserves a pay raise and a vacation after the way she handled a particularly ornery customer on the phone with what I can only describe as saint like patience. The room is clean, a little bare bones but certainly not bad. The air conditioning unit is a powerhouse I will say that.

Denise, Ashley, Martin, and Victor have all been very kind and generous to me during my stay. Their hospitality mimics that which happens down south. It is unheard of to have this high level of customer service in the Chicagoland area. Bravo.

I have been here for a little over 5 years (work). I've seen management come and go. There are a couple of front end staff that makes my stay actually feel like home and they've become"family" to me. Those individuals are Ms. Denise Thigpen and Mr. Justin Lind. Not only do they call me by name (as another young lady does - I didn't get permission to use her name), they ALWAYS greet me, they are extremely friendly and they don't act like they care, They DO care, for not only me but for every person who calls this particular ESA home. They are the glue to making this an enjoyable place and they make sure I have what I need. The smiles I get when I see them makes me glad I'm "home". No, this isn't the Hyatt but I get treated like I'm special. I appreciate them very very much. And I say, "thank you" for being you.

The staff here are super friendly and helpful, get issues fixed as quickly as they can when something goes down. I don't pay the extra for housekeeping cause I usually do it myself, but they still do a check-in with me every couple of weeks to make sure I don't need anything. They offer a cookware and dishware set at the front desk if you need it, and can recommend places nearby if you're new to the area. Rooms come with most of what you need - Heat/AC, internet. Rooms have a decent sized kitchen with two hotplates (no stove), microwave, fridge, cabinet space, and dining space (or desk space for me). A bathroom with tub/shower and vanity area setup, and a living/bedroom. They also have Accessible rooms for folks with disabilities, are Pet friendly and Service Dog friendly!! This is also a prime location, a couple of malls within a 5min drive, bus stop within a 5min walk, close to the Zoo, and not a terrible drive/bus ride to get anywhere in the Chicagoland area! If you're looking for a place to hang your hat while you're visiting the area, or you're like me and need a place to call home while you get your life in the city sorted, I would highly recommend this ESA location!

A home away from home. Everything you need at an affordable price. Week to week, or month to month, whatever your schedule dictates. Me personally it was between houses.and it worked out fine.

The front desk staff, particularly Denise and Justin are true gems. They go above and beyond for their guests, helping to navigate any aspect of your stay. The way Denise and Justin care for their guests makes you feel you’re staying at a five star luxury hotel.
